Dumbbell Pinch
Overview
This exercise focuses on your forearm strength. This means you’ll primarily be using your brachioradialis, which extends from your elbow to the middle of your forearm. It’s the muscle that flexes your forearm.
Instructions
To begin, pinch the ends of a dumbbell in each hand. Then, simply walk around.
A common mistake is wrapping your fingers under the end of the dumbbell. To really work the forearm muscles, you should be holding it entirely with the pinching motion.
Now simply walk in a straight line for thirty seconds. To start you should be able to do three sets. If that’s not enough work, try increasing the weight.
And, as always, remember to breathe smoothly and regularly as you walk.
Tips
One more tip– you can get a nice combination warm up with this, if you perform lunges at the same time. Thanks for watching!
